My pal Peggy is a book seller’s dream. I don’t know how many book clubs she belongs to, but it takes a serious bag to carry her books around.
I decided to make a super sturdy, reinforced bag with “bones” for Peggy to wag those books around. I bonded a striped cotton to canvas, but with nylon straps sandwiched inside.
I also lined the bag with a plain cotton lining. It wasn’t easy, but I
resisted the temptation to put in zippered pockets and all the bells and whistles that I love to incorporate.
It’s a simple, heavy-duty bag designed to handle all the books that Peggy can throw at it!
